Hey…just to let you know, the merchandise in the club membership kit is awesome…it is high quality and definitely well worth the money even if I don’t use the VIP event access…would love to go to the events, but not sure if i have the dough to fly to LA or wherever…the kit was worth at least double what i paid for it and the stuff is really high quality…Question to above post: why did you think the hat has “All Access” on it? it says “Sam’s Comics!” There is NO mention of All Access other than on the membership card…anyway, see you at an event!!!!

I love Heroes, and I don’t understand why NBC (? Is that the network it’s on in the US? Sorry; I’m in the UK) is treating it like the ugly step-child. His plate might be overflowing, but with all these people leaving/getting sacked it’s clear the working environment must not be a comfortably creative one. I’m very sorry Bryan Fuller is leaving; the only thing that made Pushing Daisies’ cancellation bearable to me was that he would be returning to another of my favourite shows. I just do not understand the mind-set of US television executives…

I don’t see much life left in Heroes sadly..

After a rather crapy season 2 and a subpar season 3..Along with the fact that it took the fans to even get them a panel (A small one at that) at comicon which used to love Heroes, As well as everyone leaving.

I don’t see another season in sight. I loved Heroes and I will watch it when I can catch it but it is no longer must see TV.

I wish Fuller the best. I hope his next show does great.

Based on the loss of Loeb, Beeman, and Arkush, this news, and a gut feeling, I have a sneaking suspicion that this could be Heroes’ last season. I’d hate to see it go and I hope that Heroes is here to stay, but NBC is looking to trim some fat, and Heroes just isn’t the ratings monster that it was 2 years ago. After losing T:TSCC I’ve got my fingers very tightly crossed. Makes typing very hard…

This will probably be Heroes final season and I think it’s time. They have fired all of the people who knew what the hell was going on. Having Fuller back is great, but losing Arkush and Beaman is a huge blow. The show needs to end on a high note. Here’s hoping that becomes a reality.

I know you said it wasn’t a big spoiler, but I mean, c’mon! Don’t drop the fact of a spoiler and then not tell us! I am one of those middle of the road people on this one, but I can definately see some serious potential for next season… I don’t really feel that tracy, (if it is tracy after that comment in this week’s Istory “a woman, her arms flexed. She reaches out again, and Janey tumbles in another wave of water that appears from thin air.

The soldier rolls back to her feet quickly, but now more fugitives are appearing out of the hallways around us, pale but determined. Janey aims at the water-maker, water streaming off her clothes.

“Barbara, watch out!” someone yells.

The room goes black: Abe. When the light returns, the water-maker — Barbara — has jumped out of sight.(http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/iStory/chapters/412/MzEyMDkyLWQ=)”

It says that Barbara goes off to start a circus but I find that really incidental) is going to be the major villain. She’ll get her revenge and that will be that… The sylar/nathan story line is much more compelling. Particullarly in regards to Claire after this episode’s rather interesting development (”My first First Lady” anyone?)

I think that the fact that the doors were closed during the fight allowed us to speculate on what happened to Peter, how he got the shape shifter ability-whether its his old ability, his fathers ability, sylars ability, his newer ability, or something new. Also when claire comes into the hotel room after the fight it seems that peter jumps up- no jolts awake- like he was dead but came back whats more as he runs out he bigins stagering but steadies out, however that might just be me. the fight could be shone in the begining of the next season in a dream or something of Sylar’s/Nathan’s or possibly Peter’s. another idea was what if they bring back alex to stop tracy. but back to Peter even if he did get healing back then what about the future scar? And sylar/nathan what if sylar realized who he was but because he has nathan’s past, and a loving ‘family’, keeps some of Nathan’s traits such as his struggle to do good-could sylar come back as a good guy? And Ando when is he going to use his ability with somebody else? Next season seems to be indicating that the focus will be with the families- the parkmans, Petrelies, Benetts, possibly Micha and his grandmother and cousins, Angela and Alice, and Nathan and his family(do any of his kids have abilities) It would also be cool if they introduced some other heroes as main charactors, both villainous and maybe a actual public superhero type, and give the compony the task of fnding them and controlling them or saving.

I like heroes, i really do.
The show really succed in letting the viewer get a sense of what it would be like to have a power and the joy and terror this would bring into a persons life.
The problem with shows like heroes is that you have to move on from this starting point and writing a show where you have special abilites, it is very hard to stop the abilites from taking over and restricting the story.
You eventually end up with a very limited story and that can only appeal to a ever more divided and shrinking number of fans.

how is Hiro - time freezing/health problems a plot hole ? :s

Correct me if I am wrong, he is the only one to have Baby Matt’s “Touch and Go” switch his power on/charge them. So for all we know it could be side effects from that.

What’s with everyone’s fascination with claires blood? :s

Angela practically identified the motivation for what happened. She said, I have dreams which can be interpreted however you want. She can’t change the outcome of her dream because then anything will happen. You know “butterfly” effect. See Volume 3 for what would happen if you mess with things ;). She carried on saying that all she can do is make sure her dream comes true. So, Nathan dead, Sylar captured…. Matt standing the room. Angela interprets her dream by suggesting Matt turn Sylar into Nathan. Sythan is born.

If they had healed Nathan god knows what would have happened in the future. You don’t go against the dream because you will create something new. Why do you think Angela was all up for blowing up New York in Season 1. She had seen the future and knew what was going to happen so she could control it. Stopping it just lead to somethin out of her control

From a writers point of view. Using Claires blood to heal Nathan would kinda be like deja vu. Season 2. Adam’s blood heals Nathan. So… been there done that. Furthermore Volume 3, Nathan just healing like that after Future Peter shot him. Also, Heroes needed a death and it got a death. This death sticks, its only a matter of time before Sylar emerges from this Sythan scenario.

Furthermore, what to do with Sylar. Lets say Nathan is healed with Claire’s blood. What of sylar ? Cut him up burn him? How anti-climatic would that have been. Plus, do we all really want to see Sylar gone gone? The great villains always manage to come back. In this situation that we have - Sythan, there is the possibility that Sylar can come back, but also Nathan could live on.

I hope fans of the show can just give this Sythan plot a go. It is going to be really good, i mean the internal conflict. So much potential.

Oh the finale was good, how many twist and turns was there. It wasn’t slow dire like the Vol. 3 1. There was an end aim in this one. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t perfect, but for a season finale it was good. We got closure to this arc. Heroes has never done epic finales, they have been good, closing episodes. They dont end on cliffhangers apart from Season 2. So I wasn’t expecting that. If anything the prelude to next volume normally act s cliffhangers.

I don’t know, I really wasn’t looking for the fight. It was more the fact that all I really wanted didn’t even make it itothe show, (Micca and Sylar, Matt and Baby, Hiro in the hopital AND WITH A SWORD, Ando doing anything cool at all, the brothers flying together to do something epic besides flying into a room).

That being said, the glory of Digital Tv meant that the storm outside really cut out the last portion. I couldn’t tell if it was the Sylar “body on Ice” or Nathan’s that was burned at the end. I want to say Sylar. Is that correct? Regardless, in a weak hope that either the writers being that forgetful or thinking we are that dumb, I want to say that maybe Angela also had Matt brainwash everyone into thinking the body was Sylar and they secretly have Nathan getting resed for next season (if that even happens, I’m not sure I wat it to). I fail to see the point in this, only the heroes saw it, so it’s not to let the world know Sylar is dead, and why make that many enemies by taking away a Brother/Father/Friend.

Your podcasts are consistently superior to the actual episodes of this series.

Since Season 1, this series has never been able to capture the magic on all fronts: character development and storylines. Beeman is a wise man - jump, baby, jump. Verheiden (of precious BSG fame) should also run!

I’m over Heroes: This was a poor episode, whether viewing as a single watch or as a volume/season *finale*.

This show is full of plot-holes (NOW Hiro has a time travel/freezing health problem? Noah should have known that Claire’s blood could heal, oh, I don’t know NATHAN) as mentioned by a few above.

There is no good overall storyline editing/consistency and it takes a toll to a viewer over time. A great premise/opening has really spiraled into drivel.

This is in no way shape or form related to the quality of your podcast. I hope you keep this ‘cast trucking as long as your hearts are into it. I may tune in to see what’s going on with the peeps with out having to hurt my eyes and brain.

Alright, Claire’s blood would have healed Nathan just fine. That’s been said.

However, what gets me is their reasoning for turning Sylar into Nathan. They said it was because if Nathan was gone, there would be nobody to convince the president that all was well with the world…..uhmmm…..Why couldn’t Parkman convince the president that all was well with the world. Rather than brainwashing the super-villain, just do the Parkman-mind-trick on the president and then kill Sylar.

Noah knew about Claire’s blood having the ability to heal others and Angela knew that Sylar’s healing would restore his memory eventually. Dumb writing.

Oh my lanta! (sorry - wrong podcast) I hated the finale, and I feel like I’m almost done with the show. I didn’t care in the least about the lack of a fight scene, but I do care that once again we get an absolutely uninteresting resolution to a potentially interesting plot. Then, we compound it with the dumbest twist ever - Nathlar. Yikes!

I really feel like the writers just make the story up as they go and have no idea where they are going with the story or the characters. I’m not asking for a five year plan, but can’t they show at least a little vision for where things are going? This season ending has to be the worst yet, and although I’m sure I’ll still watch the next season, I’m really not expecting much.

Great finale. Loved it. Exciting. Fun (Larry. lol). Heartbreaking (Nathan’s death). Unpredictable (Sylar-Nathan switch). Creepy (Sylar-Nathan switch).

What’s wrong with Claire’s blood? Her blood brought Noah back. Why can’t they try that on Nathan? So she can save her adopted father but not her biological father. Bummer!

Matt was doing the Haitian’s job. Matt’s ability shouldn’t have a long term effect.

Peter seems to only get one ability from Sylar since he was still bleeding. Not cool.

Nathan was supposedly killed in every season finale in the last 3 seasons. Wonder where the real Nathan’s body is.

did i hear correctly - is the podcast going to be released in a few weeks? or did they mean a few days?

i was also one of the ones who was upset with the “predictions” from the last podcast which turned out to be pretty much exactly what happened. i was going to write an email and ask them how they choose which reader feedback to feature in the podcasts. i thought maybe someone had slipped them a major spoiler in the form of a “theory”. but i guess this was just one of those random, crazy theories that happened to be true.

i wasn’t completely spoiled but it took away from the HOLY WTF aspect of what happened. i already had established in my mind that i wouldn’t like that outcome, so for it to happen left a bad taste in my mouth.

in the future, i do really enjoy the theories on the podcast but at the discretion of the audience, i hope they consider how far to take speculations and also, which speculations to feature and where throughout the podcast to maintain the integrity.

sorry for the essay, btw lol hope it helps.

OH MY DAYS! So loved this finale.

Fair enough we didn’t see the fight, but we got to see some EPIC scenes.
I mean Tracy forming out of water, the effect for that was amazing! I guess they chose to do the tracy out of water rather than doing the fight. I think the fight might have given to much away. So it was nice, plus it was “Five Years Gone” when the fight happened behind closed doors.

And I agree, Finale was way better than Dual.

Wonder what’s going to happen with the whole “Sythan” thing. And I guess Tracy is the new female baddie?

How could you not like that episode?!? It was brilliant for 5 reasons:

1) Nathan’s death… Very very q

1) Has completely changed the dynamics of the Petrelli family…
2) Tracy has a new mastery of her powers!
3) Hiro is being given some SERIOUS issues to deal with which is just what he needs to stop becoming samey and whine and generally annoying
4) Noah is running a new Company! How awesome would it be if him and Claire teamed up?!
5) Peter is super-powered again and with a good set of morals! Ultimate classicness awaits…

who’s goin to die? Sylar, Nathan, Ando, Matt, Noah, The Hatian, Peter, Micah, Hiro or Mohinder? Ando died in one of the futures, Sylar took Nathans form in another(so Nate’s probably dead), but in my opinion Mohinder is not going anyplace interesting, at the same time Matt might sacrifice himself for his family, but the good guys will hopefully win which leaves Sylar in an awkward predicament….

I have the opposite problem, I would be happy to sign up to this but it isn’t available outside the US and Canada! That sucks.

I appreciate there might be different broadcasting rights and licences for some content but, c’mon NBC, overcome that and show some appreciation for your overseas fans. ‘All Access’ but not ‘Accessible by All’…meh. It’s bad enough we have to go to YouTube for the inferior quality copies of your webisodes!

I didn’t realize it was fee-based until the last page when it asked for my CC information. And I’m just like “no thank you”! I love the show and the 10th Wonder, but to pay $30 or $50 to join the “official” fan club is a bit ridiculous. Maybe if each season’s DVDs are included in the fee, then sure. Otherwise, what are you really paying for?

After listening to your show about Coldsnap and your Discussions/tweets, there are a couple of things that I belive might happen.

Baby Parkman has given Hiro his time travel power back, why couldnt Ando’s amplifiing power super charge Hiro which would give him the teleport power back?
Along the same lines, couldnt Ando touch Peter to supercharge his powers back to what he had developed before? I dont like the “baby touch and go” theory either.

Hey All,
Apparently during the Episode 3×20 Cold Snap Commentary with Bryan Fuller and Masi Oka, Bryan Fuller confirmed that Tracy will return, that in the next volume (Redemption) that she will take on more of a leadership role for the Heroes and finally Fuller confirmed that Daphne’s death is indeed permanent.

Here are some details from a reader of the site that has viewed the commentary and as soon as the video is available we will post it:

This is probably a spoiler, but here goes…I was just watching the commentary of Cold Snap on the Heroes website, which featured Masi Oka and Bryan Fuller himself. Bryan Fuller bascially revealed three things, so these are coming from the writer himself. Number One, Tracy is not dead, the blink was added because the creators on the show didn’t want to create another death that had no consequences, so they wanted to establish that Tracy wasn’t dead from the get-go. She basically gets away into the drain. Second, Daphne is dead. Masi asks Fuller point-blank and Fuller confirms that Daphne’s death is permanent. Third, Fuller basically spoiled part of Tracy’s storyline for next season, mentioning that Micah’s little speech to her in the parking garage is going to be the kick-start for her to become a better person, a leader of the good guys. So everyone who is pegging Tracy to be a villain now…not so much. Sounds like she’s going to come back in a capacity similar to Micah, helping to guide and protect other powered folks.

As I look at the previous comments, I wonder if there isn’t a way to find a middle ground. First, let me say that I am enjoying this season immensely but I think that telling podcast listeners to “have faith” doesn’t address their concerns. The show will live or die on based on its own merit and if it’s driving people away then IMO that warrants examination. Anybody listening to The Tenth Wonder is obviously doing so because they were/are drawn to the show. These people want to love the show so if they’re losing that love then let’s find out why. I’m one of those people who were less than thrilled with the explosion painting. I didn’t hate it but I did roll my eyes a bit and I don’t apologize for that.

On another topic, I agree with Steve that Nathan is an idiot and not just any kind of idiot but the gold medal winner in the Idiot Olympics! (and in case you’re wondering, Mohinder has the silver and Hiro gets the bronze.) Steve may have backed off but I won’t: Nathan is an unstoppable, nuclear-powered, ambassador from PLANET IDIOT!

I was very disappointed by this episode as well. There was no discussion. One said something, the other agreed. It’s not constructive, it’s not interesting. And I’m sorry, but Steve not knowing enough about Heroes drives me crazy. In both the episodes he’s been in, we had to sit through Graham catching him up about stuff. If I listen to a podcast about a tv show I want to hear from people who know more than I do about it, and my knowledge is just average. These are the two main reasons why I didn’t enjoy the podcast, I’m hoping it will go back to its usual high level in the future.

I’m very excited for this, I think having people from the show in these webisodes is better then putting people that we don’t know in them and then trying to add them to the real show. This is definatly a character that I want to learn more about, and am looking forward to watching.

Heroes costs more to produce then other shows so when the ratings drop its scary when it comes time to see what shows are renewed.

I don’t think that Heroes is in danger of getting cancelled so Greg’s twitter wasn’t too surprising. Even with the lower ratings this season/volume, Heroes still has high ratings. Maybe Heroes could get moved to a different night/time but its not in any danger of not getting renewed.

Robin, Thanks for the kind words. I went back and listened to my comments, particularly where I got “passionate” according to Steve, Haha. I must say I do regret directing my comments at the people who emailed in about the explosion, that was wrong of me to do. I had a lapse in judgement where I was trying to make a point to a very particular crowd and I misdirected it toward the awesome people who e-mail us their opinions and reactions each week, and for that I apologize.

Keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t be distracted by that bs. You bring us a great show every week and I absolutely love the passion that you put into it. You were reacting to the amount of negative e-mail you received. If you didn’t react to it, then what would be the reason for people writing in? I actually came away from Cold Wars feeling mixed about it and I really liked your encouragement to stick with it. That’s what I’ve come to expect from the show and it’s one of the reasons I listen. I know for a fact that you remain critical. But there’s nothing wrong about remaining positive. If you love the show and the characters, you will keep coming back to it every week. If you want to hear someone else’s thoughts about the show, you will keep listening to the 10th Wonder. If you want just a robotic reading of the episode recap and the news, you’re listening to the wrong podcast.

But when it comes to Heroes, I challenge you to find one better.
