Could we be seeing the WGA’s strike come to a close by the end of this month? According to IGN TV, both the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) have released statements saying formal talks will begin again on November 26. 2007. Now the strike may not end on that date, but the fact that there are even talks is a great step forward on both sides. Again, we will keep you posted on any breaking news about the strike as we get it.

In addition to the already announced Heroes comic and games, Comic-Con has given host to tons of announcements on Heroes branded Merchandise that will be head our way soon. There are a boat-load of products, including the following…

  • A Heroes novel titled “Saving Charlie” which is “an original novel based on the characters Hiro and Charlie created by Tim Kring.”
  • Heroes Magazine! This magazine will be a bi-monthly magazine covering “the lives of the stars of the show, from the actors and actresses to the back room special effects experts”. It should be noted that the magazine will be formatted like a comic book!

The full list can be found here, but needless to say, Heroes will be finding its way into your homes this year in not only your TVs, but many other ways as well.

Heroes Hits Xbox Live

Heroes taking over a brand new market-the Xbox Live Marketplace to be exact! Sierra Online has released a Heroes branded Theme and Picture Pack for Xbox 360 Dashboards. The theme looks really nice, with four paintings from our favorite painter Issac, and the picture pack contains Issac Paintings as well.

I am a frequent Xbox Live user and most of the time, this content comes free, meaning NBC would distribute this, but Sierra Online is in charge of publishing the BattleStar Galactica game that will come out later this year, and it should be noted that Sierra Online released a theme and gamerpicture before confirming the release of a BattleStar game. This would seen to point to rumors of a Heroes game, which would not seem out of the question, considering the fact that games have been on the show several times. Sony even showed new footage of Heavenly Sword on an episode of Heroes.

Regardless of a possible hint of a Heroes game, the theme and gamer pictures are amazing and a must buy for any Heroes fan, but if anyone has doubt, they can preview the theme for free here.

Heroes to Return in Fall, New Spin-Off

May 14th, 2007 by William | Leave a Comment

Today, NBC is reporting that the second season of Heroes will return this fall. It was already confirmed that Heroes would be returning for a second season, but many fans (including this writer) were unsure when the second season would air. The second season will return at its exact same day and time, Mondays at 9:00. However, there is the second set of news is brand new.

Herosite.net reports along with the news above that “during the time of a hiatus this year” that a new spin-off will air titled “Heroes: Origins“. This spin-off will introduce viewers to a new character every week. The viewers can then go and vote on their favorite, the highest voted character(s) will appear in Season 3 of Heroes!

There is not a huge amount of info on “Origins“, but my guess is that in the coming weeks, we will be hearing more information on “Origins” and Season 2 of Heroes!

New Trailer for “.07%”

April 9th, 2007 by William | 2 Comments

A new trailer aired earlier this week on NBC. The trailer recaps certain events that have already occurred, but adds in new footage including a some very powerful clips: Claire telling her dad that “All she wants is a normal life”, Issac on the ground in his apartment (clearly warn-out) saying “That I (Issac) finally get to be a Hero”… and much more! All these clips are played behind the song “If Everyone Cared” by Nickelback.
