It’s Graphic Novel day once again! Chapter 34: The Death of Hana Gittelman was posted to the official Heroes website today. This issue is part two of a two-part series. The graphic novel comes in two flavors: interactive or printable [PDF]. (At 13 pages, you’ll notice that this is the longest graphic novel released so far.)
If you’re not familiar with the graphic novel, you should be! (You can read all of the past graphic novels here.) In most cases they pick up right where the television show leaves you and fill in additional back story between episodes.

Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming season finale will introduce new characters that will become central to the story in the second season. “There are several new characters coming in the immediate future,” Kring said in an interview. “The idea of the show from the start was always to basically honor the origin story of the first sort of blush and discovery of these powers. And so, in order to do that, new characters will have to be cycled into the show. And by extension, older characters will cycle out of the show.”

Heroes took home three Saturn Awards on May 10, including an award for “Best Network Television Series”. Masi Oka (Hiro) won “best supporting actor” and Hayden Panettiere (Claire) took home the award for “best supporting actress”.
