Heroes Likely to Return for 13 Episode Final Run?
Well that’s exactly what the good people at “The Hollywood Reporter” are saying! This has actually been floating around the internet for a few days…THR is reporting that Angela Bromstad (NBC President of Primetime) is indicating that Heroes will likely return with a 13-episode “Final season.” NBC recently renewed Parenthood. At the same time, Heroes and Chuck were being discussed on The Hollywood Reporter website. In response to reports that NBC still has a couple of major titles on the bubble for renewal and that sources indicate both Heroes and Chuck will probably return (with Heroes likely receiving a 13-episode final season) Bromstad had this to say- “It is all yet to be debated, both of those shows make sense with the new shows we’ll be bringing on.”
This is making my thoughts on the return of Heroes more and more plausible but I will wait to get excited until we hear official word one way or another. Either way, it’s more positive news!!

If Heroes is to return for a final season, I would hope that it would be more than just 13 episodes. The dynamic of the character’s interactions with the “outside” world of abilities have changed greatly, and I would like to see character development that gives us something more thought out than just 13 episodes of wrapping up a series of an ensemble cast. We have just had 4 seasons of character development, I would love to have perhaps even a season and a half more with this new dynamic. Perhaps even bring back some of the characters who have “disappeared” from previous seasons to give them closure also.
I totally agree with you Molly but at this point I’ve been so afraid of it being canceled that I’m setting my expectations and low and hoping for the best.
i really hope nbc gives heroes at least two season to finish it off,giving us just one season with 13 episode isn’t the best way to rap up to me one the best shows on tv,if we do get the 13 episode,you know its going to be rushed and no proper time will be put on developing a well deserved end to the series,maybe if a different network was in charge of heroes thing would be different.
A show like Heroes needs reruns in the summer for those who missed it during the regular season. People feel lost and feel they have to watch it form the beginning to understand whats going on. As a fan, I point out that its on Hulu and streaming Netflix, and I even offer to lend my DVDs to a select few I can trust. I’ve done my effort to promote it. NBC, its your turn.
If Heroes does return it SERIOUSLY needs to be as long as season 3 was to wrap up all the loose ends. There are quite a few. Tracy and her twin (triplet), Claire jumping, Ect.
I was under the impression that the triplets were Nikki, Tracy and Jessica??
@Podge We’ve never been given the “Barbara” back story… That would be the 3rd one since Nikki/Jessica were the same person.
I still want to be clear here: (I should just update the story) I am in no way happy that this could possibly be the final season of Heroes. But… I AM happy that we could possibly have Heroes back for more episodes compared to Season 4 being the end and we’re only left with that finale.
I am finding that there are a lot of new viewers to Heroes due to the box dvd sets. These new viewers have probably watched the seasons back to back to back and are awaiting season 4. With the economy, there are many families who don’t have the former viewing patterns we grew up with. People are working nights and are unable to watch live the programs or perhaps they have lost cable/satelite (sp?) to view tv at all. I know that I watch Heroes on Hulu because we do not have broadcast in our home. If there comes a time where viewing on our computers counts perhaps the ratings would look better? I am hoping that even if Heroes isn’t given more time, perhaps it would be able to have a couple of “made for tv” movies to finish up the Heroes journeys.

Nikki was adopted and Jessica wasn’t her biological sister. What do you mean “who died”?
It may very well be in danger now according to circulating rumours. On the other hand, opposite rumours say it willbe on Mondays at 10pm. NBC, make up your mind so we can look forward to the next season.
