I buy why they could not save Hiro with her blood being cancer, but Lydia and even Nathan should have been or are save able. on a side note it seems to me that Peter is going down a very dark path. yes he is always doing the "Right" thing. but more and more he dosn't listen to anyone and dose what he feels right regardless of anyone's feelings.. that's not very empathy. as I recall HRG was quite dead when shot though the eye yet healed with Claire’s blood. It appeared to me that Claire went with Doyle to find something to get the blood (syringe maybe?) and by the time they got back Lydia was dead.... That's just my take on it.
