A new “Redemption” photo from NBC
Even though this is a photo from a scene that you’ve probably already seen in the various trailers that are floating around the web right now, this picture was sent to us today by NBC and it’s a shot of Claire bleeding out on the ground after what looks like a big fall. In the context of the episode we’re pretty sure this from the scene where Gretchen (Claire’s new roommate) will discover that Claire has the ability to regenerate after she falls out of the window of their dorm room.

Still, I find the chalk lines being there a little odd, don’t you? That would mean that she’s been lying there long enough for a medical examiner to draw them. What’s the delay? Is she afraid that she’ll be found out, or is there something stuck in her skull?
Update:
Some detective work in the comments might explain the chalk lines.

I agree, if u look at the trailer as she jumps u can see the chalk lines before she hits the ground

Interesting… I think someone killed themselves prior and she was simulating it to see if it was suicide or a homicide. Just my theory….

I agree with Joe. That’s the impression I got from the trailers.
Joe’s prediction seems to be the right one.
***POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!***
Not very reliable sources indicate that someone in Claire’s college may have committed suicide. Claire for whatever reason soon after jumps/gets pushed out the same window. Whether this is done by someone trying to cover their tracks about murdering the aforementioned murder or Claire trying to escape is still unclear. What is clear is that this does lead to her new roommate finding out about her powers.
Correction of my previous comment (still spoilery!)
Claire does go out the window, but she isn’t pushed… she jumps (for reasons yet to be revealed).
What the hell kind of cop / csi draws chalk lines anymore? Is this 1920? We have cameras now.
Actually now that I’m thinking about it, one of the episodes is called Jump, Push, Fall. I think this explains it.
