It’s almost here!  The 5-disc Blu-Ray and 6-disc DVD set will be officially released September 1st as the clock strikes midnight tonight.

*Update* It’s here!  Happy Heroes DVD & Blu-Ray Day! Check out our first glimpse of the “shiny” DVD in the wild (click here). If you haven’t ordered your copy, you can still get the low price from Amazon.com and support the show at the same time.  All 25 episodes from Season 3 will have video commentary on the Blu-Ray version and audio commentary on the DVDs.  That’s just the beginning of it all.  The Season 3 set  is jam packed with features such as deleted scenes, Tim Sale art work gallery, behind the scenes footage, alternate stories, webisodes, and the list goes on.  Stay tuned for a full review of both the Blu-Ray and DVD as we break them down for you.

With that said, we’re getting very close to the premiere and are beyond excited for what’s to come in Season 4.  September 21st is only 3 weeks away and we’d like to know what you think about the teasers that have been shown.  Will our Heroes succeed in seeking redemption? What does redemption mean exactly for each of our characters?  How long until Sylar realizes he’s in Nathan’s body?  We’ll find out in just 3 short weeks!

Unfortunately these only reflect the dates for the U.S. and do not coincide with release dates in the UK or other countries.  Our friends over seas will be getting the DVD/Blu-Ray on October 12th.  Additionally, the Season 4 air date has yet to be officially confirmed on the BBC but we’ll keep you posted as we find out more information.  However, with bad news we always look for some good news.  It looks like the UK is getting a complete set of Seasons 1-3 with special cover art (as seen above, far right).  What do you think?

Just a reminder that Heroes will be airing at a new time on Mondays, 8PM EST and 7PM CST with September 21st showing the first 2 episodes back to back.  Send all your thoughts or questions to Heroespodcast@gmail.com and don’t forget to order your copy of Heroes Season 3 to support the show or run out to your local 24-hour store if you just can’t wait!  Just for fun, send in pictures of you or your friends showing off your passion for Heroes with the Season 3 sets and we’ll post them on the site.

What IGN wants from Heroes in Season 4

August 26th, 2009 by Graham | 18 Comments

With the Season 4 premiere barely a month away, pop-culture site IGN, (consistently one of Heroes’ toughest critics) posted a very lengthy piece detailing all of the things it would like to see happen in the upcoming season.

heroes

We know all too well that the overall response from loyal fans to casual viewers over the past few years has been mixed. So this time we’re really interested in reading articles like this one. What do fans of Heroes want to see this time? What don’t they want to see? And while we’re at it, what do giant pop-culture blogs want to see out of Heroes this year?

As I read through this post I found myself nodding in agreement a few times. We’ve been quick-to-judge posts by IGN in the past, at times probably confusing some constructive criticism with whining and complaining. And while, of course, I don’t agree with every suggestion in the article, I believe every show, especially those with four seasons or more can handle a bit of tough love from fans every now and then.

So while we’re sitting here waiting for Season 4 to begin, let’s open up a discussion about everyone’s expectations for Heroes this year. What would you like to see come Sept. 21st? Do you agree/disagree with IGN? What are your expectations for Heroes in its 4th season? (Leave a Comment)

A new “Redemption” photo from NBC

August 24th, 2009 by Graham | 7 Comments

Even though this is a photo from a scene that you’ve probably already seen in the various trailers that are floating around the web right now, this picture was sent to us today by NBC and it’s a shot of Claire bleeding out on the ground after what looks like a big fall. In the context of the episode we’re pretty sure this from the scene where Gretchen (Claire’s new roommate) will discover that Claire has the ability to regenerate after she falls out of the window of their dorm room.

Still, I find the chalk lines being there a little odd, don’t you? That would mean that she’s been lying there long enough for a medical examiner to draw them. What’s the delay? Is she afraid that she’ll be found out, or is there something stuck in her skull?

Update:
Some detective work in the comments might explain the chalk lines.

Joe said:
I think someone killed themselves prior and she was simulating it to see if it was suicide or a homicide.

I agree, if u look at the trailer as she jumps u can see the chalk lines before she hits the ground
