Has Heroes been renewed?
In network television, shows that are doing well typically get renewed very early to much fanfare. We have all been holding our breath as Heroes’ ratings have declined, and NBC’s silence over the past few months has been deafening. Early this morning Greg Grunberg, one of our favorite Heroes twitterers, tweeted this message:
“Don’t get me wrong, Heroes IS coming back next year…”
Whether Greg has any advance knowledge about Heroes’ renewal, we can’t say. But we won’t stop holding our breath until NBC makes it official.
I hope so, I didnt realise (being UK) Heroes was under such threat.
I don’t think that Heroes is in danger of getting cancelled so Greg’s twitter wasn’t too surprising. Even with the lower ratings this season/volume, Heroes still has high ratings. Maybe Heroes could get moved to a different night/time but its not in any danger of not getting renewed.
Heroes costs more to produce then other shows so when the ratings drop its scary when it comes time to see what shows are renewed.
I think this it’s a minor leap to assume based on Grunny’s tweet. Especially since it can be interpreted both ways. He hasn’t really been on the set for makeup either. A fellow forum/tweeter pointed this out to me and it really got me thinking. Maybe Grunberg won’t be back next year…. The New York post had the exact opposite opinion from Greg’s tweet and I just don’t know what to think. I expect it to be back.

NBC stated a few months back that Heroes has a secure future with them. The NY Post put that twitter post in they’re tv section today.
