Breaking: NBC & Heroes return to iTunes!

Together again, at last!

We knew it was a matter of time, but that doesn’t stop us from being super excited that Heroes is finally returning to the iTunes store. Apple announced today at its annual September media event that NBC is indeed returning to the iTunes store with its fall lineup of shows, but here’s where it gets even more exciting: Heroes and many other shows will be offered in both Standard Definition and High Definition!

Way to go Apple and NBC!

UPDATE: “Four Months Later” Season 2’s first episode is FREE on iTunes in High Definition for a limited time. Go check it out!

Great news – Now we can get Heroes from Amazon, Zune, Xbox Live, iTunes and Hulu (streaming). I hope this doesn’t mean that NBC will be pulling out of the other markets (specifically Xbox) to appease Apple.

The episodes are 2.99 though instead of 1.99. You could just buy the DVDs cheaper.

  3. Joe says:

True that $2.99 would make it more expensive than the DVD. However, you do get a portable version and an HD version making it cheaper overall. Cheaper all together if you compare the Blu Ray or HD DVD’s – 1 more note: They should start releasing the Extras from the DVD to counter this issue…

This is mostly just good news for Season 3!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put the episode up the day after! That would be AMAZING!!!!

I downloaded the High Definition, and also the Standard Definition, and I just don’t think it’s worth the investment into the High Definition for my 17” macbook pro! But this is AWESOME! Easily transfer (The SD version) onto my ipod, and off we go! This is great great news for Heroes fans!

  7. Woot….. 30 Rock too!!!!!

Ok, I am happy for you guys, but I still see Amazon as a MUCH better deal. 1.99 per episode for most any TV show. And now, with their “Video on Demand” feature, you can watch the videos on a mac. Admittedly, if you had a mac, you still could not download it, but at least Amazon is improving their mac support. But I am happy – more places that Heroes gets sold at, the more money NBC makes, the more money NBC can put into Heroes. So definitely good news for Heroes.

Amazon already has Season 3 Episode 1 listed but of course it’s not viewable yet!!!

    Very Exciting
