Our new look!
Look around. Notice anything different? It’s our brand new website design done up by the talented design group Agee Design. We’ve been working for the past couple of weeks to put together a new look for our site and we’ve finally launched it today. If you’re still seeing our old theme, clear it out of your cache by doing a shift+refresh of our page. We love our new look. What about you guys?
Update: We’ve adjusted our forum’s theme to match our new color scheme. Again, shift+refresh the page if you’re still seeing elements of our old forum’s theme mixed in.

LOVEEEEEE IT!!!! but are the forums changing too??
March 10th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
Yes. The forums will be changing in the next couple of days. Though it will mainly be a color scheme change, not a structure/layout change.

I think it would be good that the rest of the starkville padcasting company follow suit in terms of the look. Keep a sort of theme going through all the podcasts!!

Ugh…I hate being the only one…but…I’m not a big fan of the new design. I thought the old design was fine, and the new changes just don’t seem to be any real improvement. I understand that makes me sound like someone who opposes change for the simple reason that they don’t like change. It (the new design) actually strikes me as kind of a lazy facelift, though I suspect that’s because a dramatic change in the layout and look of the site wasn’t the goal. It doesn’t matter though, I may not particularly care for the package, but I love the content and it’s the content that matters most. Sorry if I upset anyone.

Eversor,
We of course welcome any criticisms for anything that we do. We hope you do not feel like you are upsetting anyone. We originally set out to completely re-vamp the entire website in order to lose the “blog” look and feel. Though, after careful consideration of the fact that our site functions both as a home for our podcast and also as a “news feed” for heroes related topics, we decided to keep the basic structure the same. Thus the end product does seem like a minor face-lift, but I assure you the best changes are under the hood.
Again, we welcome any and all suggestions from dedicated listeners such as yourself. Thanks!

I like it. I don’t mind that the changes are minor because I feel the layout was great to begin with. Nothing too drastic was needed.
The new color scheme is a fresh sight.

guys, this looks great. very bold and clean. nice.

Thanks for the reply Graham :). I was concerned my comment might upset, but only because used the word lazy (and I regret doing so) when talking about the face-lift. It just seems that if you’re going to pay someone to “improve” the site, more could have been done, but I understand that most of the work was done “under the hood,” (which is the really freaking annoying work in web design). Ah well…I’m just going to assume my problem is that I don’t like yellow. I was one of the people who didn’t like the logo either…go figure. I have to admit though, I think the forums look sharp with the blue color scheme. At any rate, long comment, thanks for the reply and keep up the good work. I love your podcast…it was actually the podcast that got me into listening to podcasts in general.
