Tim Kring sends up an apology to fans
It’s no secret that popular opinion has not been very kind to Heroes since the beginning of Season 2. Heroes has seen a 15% drop in ratings compared to this time last year. But there’s still hope. While participating in the WGA strike outside of the Heroes offices Tim Kring spoke with Entertainment Weekly and admits to fans that mistakes have been made at the beginning of Season 2, but promises that the show will get back on track very soon.

This was a very interesting article, and I totally agree with all of the complaints about this season so far (although I still love the show).
It would be nice if it “got back on track” soon, but… considering episode 11 will most likely be the end for a while…
That article really hit the nail on the head with what has been wrong this season. Joshua’s comment is a bit depressing but I tend to agree, if the strike lasts, we may be ‘out of time’ ourselves.
I agree as well but it is good that they are learning from their mistakes. The rest of this volume should be a good one but the mistakes have already been made. However, now we can look foward to an excellent volume 3 which should be fresh with great content. Heroes will be back on top and hopefully stay there for a long time.

Call me crazy, but I didn’t think this season was all that bad. Yes, there were a few storylines that didn’t work (The Wonder Twins, Hiro in Japan). He did take a bit too long to get to the virus drama. But overall, I’m happy with this season.
I agree with Peter’s Girl. I have been overall pretty happy with this season. The last episode Out of Time, just blew me away. It is on my top 5 episodes of the series as a whole. Yeah there have been a few bad parts but your going to get that with just about any tv show and they will make mistakes but a true fan (which I know most if not all that are on here are) will stick with it to the very end.
While the season hasn’t been as mind-blowing as season 1, it’s still been far and away better than some other shows I’ve seen.
And for being a man and ‘fessing up to these mistakes, Tim Kring is officially my HERO!
Yeah I agree with you all. I think there’s been some hesitations. Yes, I do agree that Hiro was in Japan a bit too long, and I don’t think it would’ve hurt to talk about the virus in some form a bit earlier.
However, its clear from the introductions of Elle and Monica, there are way to introduce characters that work. I don’t have a problem with the twins, but I do think they needed to be ‘involved’ in the arcs earlier.
I totally don’t agree on the romance side of things, granted West isn’t earth shaking, but… And I enjoyed the Yaeko side of things for Hiro.
When are we getting this weeks podcast? It’s like sitting down to watch heroes and it’s not on Monday night, so then we wait until Tuesday…. and it’s still not on…so then Wednesday comes….and it’s still not on.But then finally Thirsday comes…but still nothing. How would you guys feel if the creaters of Heroes did that to you! Maybe you guys have too much on your plate!
Ya I agree with Mike you guys have been coming out with these podcasts later in the week then last year. Kind of annoying and lame. Wish it were more efficient like last year.
Guys come on!! Give them a break, they are making a high quality podcast for all of us and its FREE!!! Don’t be complaining when these guys r spending hours on this podcast so jerks like u can listen to it. if you don’t like it go listen to another podcast, theirs tons out there!!! It wont be as good, but u wont have to wait after all. Plus there’s the forums, theirs tons of discussion on that, those keep me busy throughout the week as I wait for the podcast.
Amen, Harold, amen! The guys have even been upfront with us, saying that they’ll be later because they are doing other things. They’re doing their best, and I know the vast majority of us truly appreciate all the work they do!!
I agree, jerks like that are what will ruin it for the rest of us. If all the guys get is complaints then why should they even do the podcast so if your going to complain keep it to yourself so the rest of us can still enjoy this high quality podcast. If you have been listening at all they are usually right on schedule when they say they will be. They told us all up front that the podcast wouldn’t be released until later in the week because of other commitments. They do have lives out side of making a free podcast for all of us so instead of complaining start appreciating what you have.
I agree, these guys do have lives and they take time out to bring us these free podcast. I think we are all thankful that they provide such great podcasts. However, I do hope that future podcast installment get posted a little sooner after Monday night especially when there is no reactions podcast for the week. I was hoping that it would be posted at least by now. Despite that, it is still worth the wait and a great treat for every Heroes fan.
Honestly, I’ve really enjoyed this season. Yeah, I agree that there have been some …errors in judgement but I don’t think it’s been that bad.
i agree, season 2 hasnt been all that bad..has it? i think they are being a little bit too harsh on the writers.
come on…you know they only started the podcasts to get “recognized” and now that they have and got what they wanted (other opportunities)they are letting all of us out to dry! That was their plan from the start.
