Conference Call with Kristen Bell and Tim Kring
Heroes actress Kristen Bell and creator Tim Kring had a conference call in which they discuss Bell’s character, the structure of Season 2, and the possibility of seeing more of the Original 12. Read more after the jump. Warning: There are spoilers contained within.
Highlights of the conference call:
- Bell’s character, Elle, is “a little off”. She was brought up within The Company, and therefore has trouble telling between right and wrong. She is meant as a cautionary tale about what happens when a hero is raised with an awareness of her power, rather than discovering it on her own. Elle has ties to HRG and Claire, and has a relationship with Claire that is deeper than most would think.
- Bell said that she and Hayden Penettierre are old friends and have joked about playing sisters or best friends. Bell then backtracked and said that their characters aren’t necessarily either of those.
- After Bell’s 13 episodes, she and Kring will have a meeting and decide if her character should remain on the show.
- Volume 2, “Generations”, will be resolved by the 11th episode of Season 2. After that there will be a cliffhanger that leads into Volume 3.
- More characters will be leaving the show in the near future.
- We will be seeing more of the Original 12 and they will be played by the actors in the photo. It was tricky getting the photo done because it involved actors and plots that were many episodes away. When asked about the lady standing next to Parkman’s father, Kring stated that it looked a lot like Joanna Cassidy.
