OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think there was a person on this planet that saw poor simone to bite the bullet.
HOLY COWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was very awsome… I mean it was way better than I thought. Peter is going to be a beast… Probally the only one that can even challange Sylar, now we know he can even use sylar’s powers. This was my favorite episode by far and next week looks like it will be just as good!
I’m almost crying here!! I can’t believe it. Poor Simone. This episode is the best one right now, I love it when Claire scream to Bennet THAT FRINKING ROCK!!I can’t wait for the Podcast and for the next episode.
Stan Lee Rocks!!
WOWOWOWOWOOOWOWO!!! Poor simone is right. And did you all catch it when Peter’s voice got all Sylar like. I wonder how hes gonna handle the fact that he contributed to Simones death?
Poor Peter! Poor Isaac! Crap! That end was evil. Envy is definitely a deadly sin. Ugh.
Simone wanted to expose the powers. Hmm…I wonder Nathan will do that now? I mean he won’t want to but Simone had some merit in what she said….if the powers are out in the open it won’t be that big secret.
Hey Tucker just wake Derek and go to Graham house LOL!
Oooh good point Wicz…he’s the Ying to Sylars Yang.
That was excellent. I appreciate the producers having (what sounds like to me) the Wu, specifically the RZA as the music super hearing lady was listening to. Anywho, this is the type of episode I love seeing and really made the last episode seem like filler. Peter is going to be a beast since he access that file cabinet but what remains to be seen is how do he & Ted cross paths. I like how Hiro used his reverse time power since he hasn’t used that since Episode 1. Next week is going to be great and maybe we’ll finally hear Mr. Bennet’s first name.
I told my mom that Simone was gonna bite the dust. I still say that Mrs.bennet is going to die next and maybe Ted. But who knows.
I know everyone is psyched about the Peter/Sylar matchup but Sylar does not matchup-he sneaks. The all out fight will be Jessica/Peter, especially when she is going for Nathan. That will be an all out head to head brawl.
I thought that the voice distortion we heard when Peter was fighting Issac had only been previously used when Eden used her power. Does Peter have Eden’s power? I don’t think they ever met, but they were in the same area in Homecoming. Maybe that was close enough. If so, Peter should also have the Hatian’s power. I noticed that Peter said “Don’t lie to me” in that distorted voice, and nothing Issac said after that was a lie.
Hey, wait a minute, If Simone is dead, what was she doing in Peter’s vision. I think this proves that Peter’s visions are symbolic, not literal. He saw her die in the vision, and she did die, but not in the way he saw.
Also, kudos to Hiro for getting his power to work again. Too bad he didn’t realize it. I don’t think he really needs the sword. The sword is more like Dumbo’s magic feather.
I think Jessica will matchup well against Sylar. If Sylar ever got her brain. Maybe she would take over Sylar.
Holy, moley. A couple cool things happened this episode. Peter’s hero moment was super cool and Hiro’s unexpected save was eye opening. Simone was definitely a shocker. Didn’t see that coming. And did anyone else besides me forget that Peter absorbed any abilities Sylar had? Which begs the question, what else did Peter absorbed from Sylar? We still don’t know how many abilities Sylar stole before he went after Claire.
I don’t think Hiro used time reversal. Technically, if he had the bullet would have re-entered the gun and the gun would have been lowered and Hope moving backwards and so on and so on. If I am not mistaken, time slowed AND the bullet only went into reverse back into the gun creating a backfire.
Something struck me when i seen HRG give Isaac his gun, i thought to myself that that is the same gun that was seen next to Isaac’s dead body when Hiro found him in the second episode. HRG gave it to him early in “unexpected” and i was worried for a second that Peter might lose control later when he showed up. Obviously Sylar has to meet the painter after Surresh gives him a few more names.
kieltok…I was wondering if it weren’t a case of localized time control by Hiro. He reversed the bullet’s trajectory, but as it was going back, Hope was tackled…it seemed to me, that his power only was localized on the bullet itself…what do all of you think?
Def Best Episode So Far
Okay – I’m not too angry that Simone has gone up to the choir “invisibule”. Mostly because I think it’s the best decision for the story – it is forcing Pete in an interesting direction. One I hope that will bring out his stronger side – but won’t seeing him go down a villainous route so embraced by Sylar – this would be (a) an unbalancing move and (b) disappointing – having said that I’m all for dark and broody!
How many times has Eccles hit Pete over the head now – surely he must be suffering from some form of concussion!
Very interesting point that she was seen in Pete’s premonition holding Isaac back and now clearly will not be there to do this – but I was aprehensive of that addition in the prem anyway – since according to Hiro’s travels at the same time Isaac is meant to be minus his brain…
I have yet to be dissapointed by this show, as the UK London Metro described (the UK Premier was last night on Sci Fi UK) it continues to keep me ‘magnetised’ to the screen.
whodovoodoo
I knew Simone was going to die. I said it last episode forum.
Also, i mentioned about Sylar being up in a tree in the graphic novel and in this episode the lady said she didn’t hear his steps and he said he had none.
Best episode yet!! It’s great to see Peter finally harness his powers!
Wow, that ruled! Definitely one of the best, if not THE best, episode so far. I’m sorry to see Simone go.
So here’s a weird thing – I read the official write-up for episode 18 and it listed Tawney Cypress as appearing in the episode. Now this could be in a flash-back, or maybe she isn’t dead. Also, more “proof” that Charles Deveaux was a super: HRG recognized the roof of his building, even before he knew Claude was there. Maybe not proof, but definitely interesting.
Poor Simone! Poor Mohinder! I kept screaming at the TV for him to RUN! Sylar is EVIL INCARNATE! Good Lord he’s the big BAD on TV right now.
WHAT A GREAT EPISODE, ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!
I thought I heard on one of the podcasts, the guys speculate that Simone would be the one to go, if so, you all called another one, if not, maybe I just thought it would be her, oh well sorry to see her go, but maybe it will help Peter get stronger in his ability, hopefully for the good.
In Peter’s vision, Isaac is holding Simone back from running to Peter, maybe a premonition of Isaac keeping Simone from Peter while he watched it all happen, but who would have thought Isaac would be the one to pull the trigger.
Peter still needs to come in contact with Nikki/Jessica so he can adsorb some super strength. To go along with his cornucopia of awesome!
Sorry to see Simone go, but character turn over is what is going ot make this show work in the long run. Killing off “Specials” and replacing them will be the real test of how long this show can last.
So many things were answered this episode, it was awesome!
WOW! That episode blew my mind. Simone dying was completely out of left field. Peter’s voice getting super evil when he tossed Isaac around like a ragdoll was awesome.
kieltok,
At the time of the absorption we know Syler had telekinesis & ice powers but I’m sure he had more.
Peter hasn’t tapped into the ice power nor Matt’s mindreading yet.
Two comments. It appears that the visions are something like symbolism or metephors for something else going on with Peter. Fears, a representation of powers he absorbed, or maybe just a bad case of Herman’s Head. Tim Kring has said that the true nature and meaning of the visions will reveal itself or unfold each time we see it. So we will learn more about the nature of later.
As for Charles Deveau (sorry, can’t spell it), I starting to believe many of you are right. He must have been a “special”. Peter may have absorbed Deveaux’ ability to see vision or precognitive thought. If we recall in the first episode, Peter had a “dream” that he was flying and Charles didn’t look at Peter like he was crazy..like he knew or something.
The episode was awesome! I think it was great that Peter is pulling out the abilities he needs when a situation calls for it. It’s great!
Definitely best episode!!!!

I don’t think there was a person on this planet that saw poor simone to bite the bullet.
Going to heap on some praise for myself and direct everyone towards the end of the last discussion for my comments about simone dying and how
Way to go Matt, congrats buddy, you were on of the few.
As i was running last nights episode in my head today i started thinking. Since the haitian was on the roof with HRG, was he close enough for Peter to obsorb his ability to erase minds? The show leads us to believe that the haitian can also neutralize others such as Eden and Matt. I wonder if Peter was close enough to gain a connection with the haitian. If so, the ability to neutralize someone like Sylar maybe the way to stop him.
About Peter’s powers… I was actually wondering what would happen when he meets Nikki/Jessica. Will he have a split personality as well? And if so, who would that “other side” be?
I wonder if Mohinder will make the connection between that lady saying she used to get huge headaches and felt like her head would explode and “Zane” having these constant headaches and realize that he has/stole her powers. Dunno though, Mohinder doesn’t strike me as the sharpest tool in the box.
Just a thought but can Peter use multiple powers at a time, because ever time you see him he is only using one power at any one time. Because if he can’t he’s screwed, all you have to do is get him when he’s sleeping (or maybe he sleeps invis) and thats brings up the question does his powers just happen like blinking or beathing, or does he actually have to think about it to do it.
Niki/Jessica is more of a psychotic condition rather than a power, so Peter shouldn’t get schitzophrenic but he might be able to absorb both identity’s abilities.
And as far as Mohinder goes, I think he is slowly putting things together that Sylar is not being straight with him. If notice carefully, the Mohinder was staring at Sylar when Dale was talking about her powers and how Sylar was smiling at her, fixated on stealing it from him. I think he knows something is not quite right with Sylar.
And this point, their powers work subconsciously when they need it too, but after learning how to control them, they would have to concentrate (not hard) to use their powers until it becomes second nature. It looks like Peter is already there, though. And it appeared he used multiple, tossing things around with telekinesis while invisible.
